Visit all highlights of Uganda! Explore the abundant wildlife in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park, and track the chimpanzees and gorillas in Uganda's tropical rainforests. Your adventurous safari ends at the true origin of the Nile, a world class place for rafting!

ARRIVAL DAY

Arrival at Entebbe Airport where you will be welcomed with our company staff and transferred to your accommodation in Entebbe. Overnight at Airport Guesthouse.

Day1: KAMPALA - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

From Kampala we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we will pass the Ugandan equator where you can take pictures and shop for a souvenir. After lunch in Mbarara we continue to the southwest and head for the Western Rift Valley. Upon arrival in the park you might spot the first wildlife, like waterbucks and warthogs, before arriving at your accommodation in the middle of the park. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.

Day 2: ENTEBBE - NGAMBA ISLAND

Enjoy a calm breakfast and relax in the morning before we visit the office of CSWCT (Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Wildlife Conservation Trust) to finalize the formalities and requirements for your visit to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. After a pleasant boat ride you will reach Ngamba Island, where you will be directed to the visitors centre to learn more about the chimps and their lifestyle. Check in at your accommodation and enjoy the tranquility at the lake shores. Dinner and overnight at Ngamba Island Tented Camp.

Day 3: NGAMBA ISLAND - KAMPALA

In the morning join a Forest Walk with the chimpanzees! You will be in the company of several young chimpanzees and have direct contact with them, while they climb on you, pull your hair or just walk holding your hand. A unique and unforgettable experience! After this activity have breakfast and spend some relaxing moments at the island before you will be transferred back to the mainland. A Great Lakes Safaris representative will await you here and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. In the afternoon you can enjoy a city tour and visit some of the most interesting and historical sites of the capital. Overnight at Cassia Lodge.

Day 4: KAMPALA - MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

Today we will depart for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. Enjoy a lunch stop in Masindi before we enter the park and cross the river Nile to our accommodation in the middle of the protected area. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge.

Day 5: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

After an early breakfast we start the day with a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest and different species of birds. In the afternoon the safari will be continued with a boat cruise on the river Nile for game viewing at close quarters. Upon reaching the bottom of the mighty falls, you will leave the boat and hike your way up to the Top of the Falls where you will be rewarded with spectacular views. From here we continue to the southern part of Murchison Falls National Park for overnight in the middle of the tropical forest. Dinner and overnight at Budongo Eco Lodge.

Day 6: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

This full day is dedicated to chimp habituation in Budongo Forest Reserve. You will watch the chimpanzees starting the day by climbing out their nests, you will see them playing on the ground, feeding and resting in the trees. Together with professional rangers you will spend the entire day in presence of these amazing creatures until they go to sleep at night. Dinner and overnight at Budongo Eco Lodge.

Day 7: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK - KAMPALA

Enjoy the beauty of the forest a bit more, before we calmly drive back to Kampala. En route we will make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to the only wild rhinos in Uganda. The reserve was created to reintroduce rhinos to the country, which have been extinct since 1982. Together with a guide you will track the rhinos and observe them in their habitat at a very close and safe distance. After this activity continue to Kampala for overnight at Cassia Lodge.

Day 8: DEPARTURE

Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. Spend some time in the capital city at your own leisure and in time you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport!
